Five Fonts for Video Editors

Here are five fonts that you need to use in your next edit.

When it comes to video editing it's not just the core elements like sequencing, grading or sound design that we have to think about. A huge part are the visuals that compliment an edit. One aspect that is often overlooked is fonts. You don't want a bog-standard system font ruining your immaculate edit now do we?

I've got you covered. Here are five fonts, plus their download links, that you can use in your next edit.

Headline Gothic

A tall condensed font with lots of power. Headline Gothic is an Adobe Font and available for free when signed up to one of Adobe's subscription plans.

Anton

Another powerful, bold font. Great for singular words. Anton is an Adobe Font and available for free when signed up to one of Adobe's subscription plans.

Morganite

A tight, urban-feeling font. Perfect for city travel videos or the next Joker-inspired short film. Morganite is available for free on BeFonts.

Owners Wide

This font has a modern sports feel to it. Originally from the Owners typography family, Owners Wide offers, well you guessed it, a wider font face for those quirky and energetic edits.

Inter

This font is widely used across media and is the closest you'll get to an Apple-style typography for free and before a lawsuit lands on your desk. It's simple, clean and great in lowercase. It's also a completely free Google Font.
